Transformers: Revenge of the fallen (viewers)

I have to admit that, going to watch this movie, I didn't have too many expectations. So it was next to impossible that I could be disappointed. And yet I was.

The movie began two years after the end of the previous one, so at first it had a bit of explaining to do. After a long and sometimes unnecessarily winding explanation, which involved anything from crying robots to ridiculously cheesy (to my female eyes at least) hot poses of Megan Fox on a motorbike, the story strings were finally pulled. But it was probably some of the worst days of inspiration for the writers of this movie, since they failed to produce anything original, and just blurted out an array of threadbare scenes: the hot "girl" in the dorm, everything involving Sam's roommate, the twin Autobots, and even the paradise/another plane of existence scene towards the end of the movie were totally unoriginal and predictable - me and my friend were placing bets from the very beginning as to what comes next, and we both were always right. The only redeeming scenes were the ones containing Agent Simmons (I loooove John Torturo).

As far as special effects are concerned, I got just what I expected. They were many, they were huge and they looked expensive. Quite the eye candy, some would say. After a while, however, the eye gets used to it, and all that remains is a fast moving blur and blinking lights.
